Founded in New York in 1853, Motul was first a subsidiary of New Jersey's Standard Oil, under the name Swan & Finch, specialising in high-quality lubricants. Officially setting up in France in 1932 under the name Supra Penn in 1953. After 100 years of Swan & Fitch, Motul brought the first multigrade oil to the European market.
