The Turbosmart OPR V2 regulator is designed for turbocharged engines. It's recommended if you decide to fit a turbo to a N/A engine, fit a higher flow oil pump, install a bigger, more powerful aftermarket turbo, or if you see smoke from burning oil coming out of the exhaust.
A ball-bearing turbo requires less oil than a journal bearing turbo and the tranditional solution is to use a restrictor to lower the oil pressure. However, this method also affects the flow, which can cause damage over time. The Turbosmart OPR V2 regulator allows you to effectively regulate oil pressure without compromizing the flow, ensuring a longer life for the turbo.
The regulator comes with a fixed 40 psi (2.8 bar) rating which canot be modified. It is adapted to suit modern and high performance ball bearing turbos. Easy to install thanks to its Dash 4 (7/16"x20) inlet and outlet, it comes in black and also includes a 1/8" NPT port for a pressure gauge.
