With their great performances, Shido Lithium ion battery have been designed for competition use. While being smaller and lighter than standard batteries, they have an extra safety element : in case of an accident, these batteries won't spray or leak corrosive substances that may harm the driver or the vehicle.
The battery charges itself thanks to the alternator, or using an optional Shido charger. For a reliable and easy installation, choose the specific Shido battery mounting bracket !

It is imperative never to charge this battery with a voltage exceeding 15 V. The installation of a lithium battery is strictly prohibited on vehicles whose voltage regulator may exceed this limit.
The battery must be charged before first use.
Warning: Lithium batteries require specific charging procedures. Many factory alternators deliver excessive current, which can damage the battery. Installing a lithium battery requires proper sizing of the vehicle’s entire electrical system, which may involve replacing the alternator and/or adding a BMS (Battery Management System) to ensure safe and correct charge management.
