Red Line Limited-Slip Friction Modifier Specifications

Red Line Limited-Slip Friction Modifier fluid combines a friction modifier and a break-in additive specially formulated for limited-slip differentials. It significantly reduces friction during the break-in period and combats the high temperatures that can cause premature gear wear. By liquefying the oil, this additive also eliminates undesirable differential noise.

This Red Line additive is compatible with petroleum and synthetic gear oils. For maximum effectiveness, the manufacturer recommends using this product in addition to Red Line 75W90NS oil. Please note that Red Line oils other than NS already contain this additive. This product meets the requirements of the following manufacturers' standards: GM 1052358, Ford M2C118-A, 19B546-MA, Chrysler 4318060.

Dosage recommendations: Dilute the additive to 4% (i.e. approximately 1 x 118mL bottle) to prevent chatter, or 4 to 8% for the break-in of new differentials. For non-limited-slip racing differentials and quick-change units using the Red Line ShockProof range, an additional 3 to 6% of this additive is recommended.
