Developed by RacingDiffs, this kit includes all the parts necessary to install a ZF limited slip differential (found in E30, E36, E34, etc.) in your BMW E46. This is the most cost-effective solution compared to buying an aftermarket LSD. This kit is compatible with E46 188K diff type fitted in the following models:
- 320Cd M47N, 320Ci M54, 320d M47, 320d M47N, 320i M54
- 323Ci M52, 323i M52, 323i 2.4 M52
- 325Ci M54, 325Ci M56, 325i M54, 325i M56, 325ti M54, 325xi M54
- 328Ci M52, 328i M52
- 330Ci M54, 330i M54, 330xd M57, 330xd M57N, 330xi M54
RacingDiffs recommends refreshing the ZF LSD before transferring to the E46 differential housing. These diffs are now over 25 years old and are likely to have worn friction discs. The manufacturer details how to rebuild a 188mm diff on their YouTube channel: click here to watch.
For even better performance, the manufacturer recommends using a RacingDiffs Differential Clutch Plate Set for BMW 6 Cyl. (188 mm Diff). So your LSD will be ready for all motorsport disciplines or can just as easily be adjusted for track days or more everyday use.
Important note: Depending on your differential gear ratio, you may need a crown gear spacer. If this is the case, please select the correct thickness for your setup when ordering by referring to this table:
