Performance Clutches Stage 3 Sport uprated clutches are particularly suited to modified vehicles with very high power output used exclusively in racing. They offer 80 to 150% higher clamping force than the aftermarket part and the highest torque capacity in the manufacturer's single-disc solution range.

Like all Competition Clutches products, they benefit from high-quality materials to ensure uncompromising durability. Stage 3 Sport clutches have a reinforced pressure plate and feature a ceramic paddle friction disc to ensure high resistance to shattering in all temperature ranges and eliminate any risk of slipping or fading during the race.

This kit also includes a single-mass flywheel. Compared with the standard dual-mass unit, this significantly reduces the weight of the transmission and improves throttle response and acceleration.

Caution: The M54 engines can be prone to harmonic engine vibrations. The replacement of the dual mass flywheel with a single mass flywheel can exaggerate this condition. It is recommended that the oil pump is upgraded to a performance billet assembly as engine vibrations can cause damage to the OE replacement units leading to engine failure.
