Performance Clutches Stage 1 Street HD uprated clutches are particularly suited to high-powered modified vehicles used on the road or during track days. They offer a clamping load 60 to 120% higher than the aftermarket part, significantly increasing torque capacity.

Like all Competition Clutches products, they benefit from high-quality materials to ensure uncompromising durability. Stage 1 Street HD clutches have a reinforced pressure plate and are feature a Steelback organic friction material with a high copper content capable of withstanding high temperatures in extreme driving conditions.

This kit also includes a single-mass flywheel. Compared with the standard dual-mass unit, this significantly reduces the weight of the transmission and improves throttle response and acceleration.

Caution: The M54 engines can be prone to harmonic engine vibrations. The replacement of the dual mass flywheel with a single mass flywheel can exaggerate this condition. It is recommended that the oil pump is upgraded to a performance billet assembly as engine vibrations can cause damage to the OE replacement units leading to engine failure.
