Designed by our partner MZR Garage, this adapter for Toyota 1JZ, 2JZ, 1UZ and other engines using 3/4"-16 threading offers a number of interesting advantages. It allows the stock water/oil cooler to be removed and the oil filter or sandwich adapter to be fitted directly to the block.

The standard water/oil cooler allows the oil to heat up more quickly during cold starts. However, in intensive use where the oil temperature exceeds that of the water, this system becomes counter-productive and it is preferable to install a more efficient external oil cooler. Furthermore, it is an element that constitutes an additional risk of breakdown or leakage that it is preferable to avoid when tuning an engine.

This adapter also makes it possible to lighten the engine by removing the stock oil filter bracket and housing, so that the filter can be fitted directly to the block to facilitate oil change and maintenance operations. It is also possible to fit a thermostatic sandwich adapter for connecting an external cooler, or a plate for sensor port in order to connect a gauge.
