The Nankang Sportnex SL-1 is the first full slick tyre developed by Nankang, designed specifically for motor racing and track use. As such, it is not approved for road use.
Building on many years of success with the AR-1 semi-slick, used in both motor racing championships and by track day enthusiasts, Nankang has focused all its experience and expertise on the development of the SL-1. This tyre represents the culmination of years of research, integrated into an entirely new competition slick design.
The SL-1 was launched in early 2021 in medium compound, with four sizes available. This no-compromise performance tyre has since been expanded to include several other sizes, bringing the range to diameters from 13 to 19 inches.
