The MSD Pro-Billet ignition distributor for Chevrolet V8 engines is the manufacturer's most popular and widely used distributor. The result of extremely rigorous design, it features a housing machined from 6061-T6 aluminium on a state-of-the-art CNC machine, ensuring exact tolerances. For optimum stability at high speeds, a robust steel shaft is supported by a sealed ball bearing and a long sintered bushing.
This shaft is treated with QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) to reduce friction and resist corrosion. A high-performance, maintenance-free magnetic sensor is used to trigger ignition with great precision. Above the sensor is MSD's own adjustable mechanical advance assembly. The distributor is supplied with a range of springs and stop bushings so you can tune an advance curve to match your application.
Important : this distributor must only be used with an MSD 6, 7 or 8-series ignition box.
