Loctite SF 7200 lubricant is designed to aid removal of cured chemical gaskets. Once applied, the product coats the gasket with a foam that will help soften it within 10 to 15 minutes to facilitate removal. The lubricant is easy to apply and does not run off the desired location, even on vertical surfaces.
Typical applications include the removal of all types of chemical gasket sealant from metal flanges. This lubricant is particularly suitable for aluminium or other soft metal flanges where scraping could lead to surface damage. It can also be used to aid removal of adhesives, baked-on grease or oil, built-up carbon deposits, dried oils, paint, varnish, etc. from metal flanges or surfaces.
