Designed by our partner MZR Garage, this machined aluminium part for Toyota 2JZ-GE (non-VVTi) plugs the hole left by the removal of the stock ignition distributor. This modification is typically done as part of an NA to turbo conversion with the installation of an oil pump, crank gear and sensor from 1JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GTE.

On this engine, removing the distributor in favour of a more sophisticated ignition system offers several advantages. Not only does it improve the appearance of the engine bay, but it also frees up space for the fitting of larger turbos, not to mention the gains that can be made with a modern ignition device: no misfiring over the whole rev range even with high boost, easy tuning of the engine from a reliable source...

Caution: Removal of the stock distributor requires a suitable aftermarket engine control unit.
