Suitable for BMW vehicles, this socket is designed for spark plugs featuring a 16 mm hex size. While BMW engines typically use spark plugs with a 14 mm, 12-point hex design, this socket with a built-in magnet allows for the hassle-free installation of HKS Super Fire Racing M-XL spark plugs (with a Φ12 x 26.5 mm threaded section and a Φ10.5 insulator diameter).
Many of these applications feature narrow spark plug wells that require a thin-wall socket for proper installation and removal. To address this requirement, HKS developed a specialized thin-wall spark plug socket in collaboration with the renowned tool manufacturer Tone, ensuring excellent fitment and ease of use in confined spaces.
