Manufactured by Goodridge, this lock wire is ideal for securing bolts, nuts and pins on mechanical assemblies (engine, transmission, brakes, etc.). It prevents fasteners from loosening due to vibration and other forces, and also indicates that they have been properly tightened.

In racing applications, stainless steel wire is used, usually with a diameter of 0.81 mm. It is very simple to use. Generally, the wire is threaded through a hole drilled into a fastener or part, then twisted and anchored onto a second fastener or part, then twisted again.
