Foliatec Caliper Paint Kit

Foliatec offers a range of over 20 different colours, of unparalleled quality compared to the competition. Foliatec paint has excellent resistance to chemicals, brake fluid and various abrasions/salt. Foliatec guarantees finish for several years.

This brake caliper paint is resistant up to a temperature of 300°C. It is not recommended for use on track cars.

A Foliatec kit is enough to paint 4 brake calipers. It is applied by brush, easily and quickly, without having to remove components.

Kit Contents :

1 cleaner/degreaser 400 ml
1 can of paint (125 g)
1 can of hardener (50 g)

Instructions :

Clean the brake caliper using the supplied spray degreaser, removing any deposits and dust from the caliper surface. It is not necessary to remove them to apply paint.
Mix the paint and hardener, and let it stand about 5 minutes.
Apply the paint with a brush onto your brake calipers.
Let the paint dry for the time indicated on the instructions before using the vehicle.

Qualite de peinture : 5/5, elle couvre tres bien. Le rendu est brillant avec un effet paillete assez joli. Attention a bien melanger le pot avant utilisation.Les points de reserve concernent le reste du kit. Les proportions peinture/durcisseur sont, a mon sens, trop elevees. Je pense que la moitie du pot de durcisseur suffirait largement pour le volume de peinture. Dans mon cas, j'ai respecte les instructions (tout melanger), et je me suis retrouve avec une peinture pateuse au bout de 30 minutes. Difficile ensuite de travailler proprement et de prendre son temps pour une application soignee.Deuxieme point : le pinceau. Il perd enormement ses poils, qui sont en plus trop reches, ce qui nuit a l'application de la peinture. Je recommande donc de prevoir un autre pinceau pour obtenir un meilleur rendu.Concernant la quantite, il y a largement de quoi faire. J'ai repeint les etriers supports apres demontage et sablage complet, donc toute la surface a ete traitee. Je n'ai utilise que la moitie du pot pour une E90 (etriers 330 mm a l'avant et 300 mm a l'arriere).Je recommande ce kit, mais avec quelques reserves pour obtenir un resultat impeccable.
