The Eventuri intake for the Mercedes A 35 AMG is designed to provide the turbo with less restrictive airflow while maintaining low intake temperatures. Reducing heat soak and increasing internal volume are essential for turbo engines. In the A35, the intake system is located near the exhaust manifold, which quickly heats the engine bay. To prevent the turbo from drawing in hot, less dense air, a fully sealed housing is required. To reduce restrictions associated with a closed system, the airbox volume has been increased by relocating the ECU and incorporating a cold-side opening, away from manifold heat. The larger-volume carbon intake duct starts at an internal diameter of 111 mm and gradually tapers to fit the turbo inlet. A custom high-capacity dry filter, ISO-tested and with a filtration area larger than the stock part, completes the system.

After years of using various intake systems and finding that the advertised gains were rarely achieved, the Eventuri team decided to take matters into their own hands and reinvent the concept.
