The Honda Civic Type R FL5 intake is the culmination of the FK8 system evolution, offering an optimized solution thanks to the increased engine bay space of the FL5. By maintaining a fully sealed airbox, Eventuri has minimized heat absorption to ensure a consistent supply of cold air to the turbo. Since the intake is located directly behind the radiator, it is essential that the filter remains protected to prevent hot air from entering the turbo. The stock flexible intake duct, a source of turbulence and flow loss, has also been replaced. Engine movement is now absorbed by the intake tube itself, which can move within the airbox while maintaining thermal sealing. The carbon airbox is designed to maximize available volume and minimize heat intrusion. The performance gain is approximately +14 hp and +15 lb-ft of torque.
