First introduced in the late 1980s, electronic throttle control, sometimes called drive-by-wire (DBW), uses electronic signals, instead of a conventional mechanical link, to control the throttle. This technology offers many advantages in terms of engine wear, performance and efficiency.
A DBW device is not only lighter (no throttle cable and fewer moving parts) but also provides idle control, throttle response adjustment and a launch control function.
Offered by our partner MZR Garage, this adapter kit allows you to mount a 70 mm Bosch electronic throttle body (Audi 2.7 V6 twin-turbo OEM) on a custom intake manifold. It is delivered with the necessary hardware for the installation. The throttle body, pedal, harness and DBW compatible ECU are not included and must be purchased separately.
