Davies Craig Electric Water Pump Specifications
Davies Craig electric water pumps, also called EWPs, are designed to complement or replace your original belt-driven mechanical water pump. Universally compatible, they fit most vehicles and are usually mounted on the lower radiator hose, or anywhere else when building a fully custom cooling circuit.
Davies Craig water pumps are widely used in competition drift cars with rear-mounted radiators: their higher flow rate ensures superior cooling performance and easily copes with the extra coolant volume this setup requires. They are also very energy-efficient, saving up to 10–15 horsepower that is often lost when driving a mechanical pump by belt.
The pumps can be combined with a patented digital controller featuring an LCD screen, or they can be wired and controlled independently using any configuration you choose. The optional Davies Craig digital controller can adjust pump flow according to coolant temperature and automatically switch the fans on or off based on your own settings. It can also keep the pump running after the engine is switched off to protect the engine and prevent heat soak in the block.
Davies Craig pumps offer multiple installation possibilities—whether as a primary pump (replacing the original), an auxiliary pump (retaining the original), or for any other specific purpose such as a heater circuit, air-to-water intercooler, etc. Feel free to get in touch with us for any technical questions!
