Davies Craig EBP Electric Water Pump Specifications
The Davies Craig EBP “Brushless” electric water pump offers great versatility thanks to its compact design, making it suitable for a wide range of applications: automotive, solar systems, leisure, recreational vehicles, marine, domestic use, and water distribution networks. This booster pump can be used to enhance original engine cooling systems by optimizing coolant circulation (especially in LPG conversions) and greatly improving engine temperature management.
The EBP can be used to supplement your existing Electric Water Pump (EWP), belt-driven mechanical water pump, or to enhance your heating and/or cooling system, or assist in circulating coolant within the engine block. The EBP is capable of continuously circulating coolant around the cylinder head, engine block, and bypass circuit. It offers a high flow rate and operates at a speed independent of engine RPM. The EBP can also be configured to continue running using a timer or thermal switch (not included) after the engine is shut off to prevent harmful effects such as heat soak.
EBP Applications
- Circulation pump for LPG vehicles: The EBP improves water flow through the engine block to prevent LPG injector freezing. Other benefits include more uniform engine temperature and improved engine cooling.
- Booster pump for heating: The EBP enhances heating performance during normal vehicle operation and allows continuous heating even when the engine is off (but the ignition is on).
- Water pump for liquid-cooled motorcycle engines: The EBP ensures coolant flow independent of engine speed, providing effective cooling at all RPMs. It can be used with the EWP digital controller to replace the existing water pump, or as an auxiliary pump via a bypass switch.
- Multipurpose pump: The EBP can be used in various high-flow applications such as irrigation, camping, solar pumps, go-karts, or marine systems.
About Davies Craig
The ability to create new solutions to problems, along with a commitment to technology, service, and quality, has made Davies Craig one of Australia’s most successful exporters. The company supplies high airflow electric automotive fans, electric water pumps, digital controllers and switches to markets around the world.
In the mid-1990s, the company began exploring the next stage of electronic conversion in automotive engines, and the concept of the Electric Water Pump (EWP) was born. The mechanical water pump was one of the last mechanical components in the modern engine, long regarded as an inefficient element originally designed as an accessory for early engines. On July 1st, 1999, the world’s first Electric Water Pump was launched: the EWP80. Since then, several major European manufacturers have adopted EWPs as standard equipment in some of their vehicles.
