Custom Welding Service

Because of OEM suspension design of this car model, installing coilovers requires struts cutting and welding. At D2 France, we offer the welding of your struts as an exclusive service. Your struts will be modified on site by a qualified welder, giving you a safe, professional finish. You will receive your coilovers ready to install, giving a true "bolt on" product.

Require our welding service ? Just select the option above when ordering ! Place your order, and send your original struts, with your order number in the package to D2 Racing France, 5 rue de la mine, 68500 Berrwiller, France. Please note : your struts must be received completely stripped (no springs, flanges, bearings etc). We reserve the right to charge a disassembly fee, if required. Usual lead time is 5 business days.

Coilover or Inboard Springs ?

This model of adjustable suspension offers you the choice between inboard springs (OEM style set-up), or coilover springs (spring around the shock absorber). Generally lighter and easier to adjust, coilover springs are recommended for tuned vehicles, equipped with a roll cage or used in motorsport. For a standard vehicle used on the open road, D2 recommends keeping the inboard springs setup. Note that between a coilover assembly or a separate assembly, the spring rates can be different : this is a difference in technical design due to the shape of the springs, the design of the vehicle's axles, or even the position of the original springs on the chassis. In feel and use, the separate and coilover models are identical, and show no significant difference in driving performance or comfort.

D2 Circuit Coilovers Specifications

D2 has a 30-year experience in motorsport and shares this experience with you by offering coilover suspension kits specifically designed for the track. With their superior oil capacity thanks to a large diameter piston (44 mm), these dampers guarantee consistent performance, even over long track sessions or endurance races. With a wide range of adjustment and independent height and preload adjustment, they give full damper control regardless of ride height. Front camber can be adjusted via the top mounts (McPherson struts only).

Using monotube dampers, D2 Racing coilovers offer a lowering range of up to 10-12 cm (depending on the model), while being corrosion resistant thanks to their aluminium construction. Damping is 36-stage adjustable, providing a soft or firm ride, whichever is required. Often lighter than OEM units, D2 coilovers also help reduce weight.

All D2 products are TÜV and ISO-9001 approved and benefit from a one-year manufacturer warranty. For your specific needs, it is possible to modify spring rates; D2 France always keeps a large choice of spare parts in stock, to facilitate maintenance and repair of your suspensions, without delaying other projects.
