The CTEK MXS 5.0 is a fully automatic 12 V battery charger designed to provide efficient charging and reliable maintenance for lead-acid batteries. Compatible with conventional flooded, AGM, GEL, MF and calcium batteries, it is suitable for batteries with capacities ranging from 1.2 Ah to 110 Ah for charging and can maintain batteries up to 160 Ah. Delivering a maximum charging current of 5 A, its advanced microprocessor-controlled charging technology automatically adapts the charging process to the battery's condition, helping to optimize performance while extending battery life.

The MXS 5.0 features an automatic 8-step charging process that analyzes the battery before applying the appropriate charging stages. It also includes a desulphation function, as well as a dedicated AGM mode for Stop/Start batteries requiring a higher charging voltage. In addition, the Recond mode is intended to recondition deeply discharged batteries and help restore their performance.

The charger can remain connected for extended periods thanks to its automatic float and pulse maintenance charging mode, which continuously monitors the battery's condition and supplies power only when required. This helps keep the battery fully charged without the risk of overcharging, making it an ideal solution for vehicles that are used occasionally or stored for long periods.
