BMW Aluminium Swirl Flaps Blanking Plates Description

The majority of BMWs are equipped with swirl flaps in the intake manifold (4 and 6 cylinders). Controlled electronically, these flaps open and close depending on engine load, in order to optimize the efficiency at low speeds.

Over time, these plastic flaps wear out, break, and are sucked into the engine, usually causing irreversible damage. To improve the reliability of any diesel engine that has covered a large number of kilometers, we advise to remove these flaps.

These plates can be ordered with optional gaskets (see photo), in a diameter of a 22 or 33 mm (you will need to verify this on your vehicle). They are compatible with numerous BMW models :
