Founded in Japan in 2004, the Origin Labo brand (also known as the "Origin Lab") specializes in body parts and aerodynamic parts. Starting from nothing except their talent and motivation, the creators of Origin Lab used this to name their company ("originally, there was nothing"). From 2005, Origin Lab equipped vehicles participating in D1GP, thus demonstrating the quality and performances of its products at the highest levels of competition. Since then, the brand has grown rapidly, supported by fans around the world.

Hoods & intakes
Two types of fiberglass or carbon hoods are available in the Origin Labo catalog: the traditional Type I with its wide intake which allows optimal mechanical cooling in intensive use, and the recent Type II with three additional vents to the rear for even more efficient cooling.
