Exelixis, a French company specialising in electrical harnesses and motor management, has developed the PDM-16 Power Distribution Module in collaboration with HP Electronik. With 16 outputs and capable of handling up to 40 A, it is the most compact and powerful unit currently available on the market.

A PDM is a device used to replace conventional relays and fuses to simplify the wiring harness and reduce weight, while increasing reliability. It is designed to provide electronically switched power to the vehicle's various electrical systems, and can be programmed to perform various tasks automatically. It also provides comprehensive diagnostic information, enabling the whole vehicle to be monitored by telemetry.

The Exelixis PDM-16 unit is available in two versions:

• Standard : the PDM with AMPseal connectors + pins, allowing the user to create their own wiring.
• Premium : the PDM with 3 metres of M22759/32 military-grade wiring, ready for installation on any vehicle.

This PDM is designed to work in perfect synergy with MaxxECU ECUs and Exelixis dashboards, which will benefit from a major update. This update will enable users to view amperage consumption directly on the display, without the need for a PC to diagnose faults in the electrical circuit.
