DriftShop has teamed up with Lighton, a French multidisciplinary artist based in Paris, to design our new clothing line. Growing up in the 90s, his work is characterized by a mixture of styles and cultures from that era. The bright colors inherited from pop art through the advent of hip hop, the codes of graffiti, video games and advertising are the core of his style, which speaks to a generation rocked by images. His clients and collaborations include Desperados, David Guetta, Wax Tailer, Virgin Radio, Meeting, That Art Plug (Art Basel Miami) and McDonald's, among others.

When Art Meets Drifting
Son of a garage owner and amateur racing driver, Lighton spent his youth hanging out in the paddocks and as a passenger in his father's 205 GTI on the circuits of Dijon-Prenois and Pouilly-en-Auxois. Thanks to the internet, he discovered drifting through videos of the D1GP in 2004 and immediately fell in love with this sport. Some of the cars from that time marked him for life and making the link between art and drift cars was a dream for him. He had the opportunity to make it a reality in 2020 by collaborating with the drift driver Mike Kauffmann by making the livery of his Silvia.
