This Braille AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) lead-acid battery combines power, lightness, safety and durability. Thanks to its high cranking amps, it guarantees trouble-free starts in most conditions, while its lightweight design means it weighs less overall than most competitor batteries.
A special feature of AGM technology is that it contains fibreglass pads placed between the electrodes, which absorb the electrolyte (a mixture of sulphuric acid and water). This makes the battery perfectly sealed, preventing the risk of acid leaks, even in the event of a roll-over. Unlike other conventional lead-acid batteries, it doesn't need to be topped up with water, which makes maintenance easier.
What's more, this type of battery is more resistant to shock and vibration, and can be installed in a variety of positions. These advantages make these products ideal for applications in difficult conditions, such as off-road vehicles and marine equipment. Finally, Braille has also announced that the battery will last twice as long as a traditional lead-acid battery.
