Wheel Studs
Browse through our range of regular and reinforced wheel studs
Wheel studs are used to couple the hub to the wheel. Unlike screws, they have no head and come in the form of a threaded rod at both ends with a smooth part in the middle. For a secured fastening, they are locked by specific nuts.
Depending on the make and model of vehicle, various threads are used: M12x125, M12x150, M14x125, M14x150. There are also conversion studs that allow switching from one thread to another in order to get a wider choice of lug nuts.
Depending on their use, they can be designed in different materials such as steel, chromoly or titanium. They are made to withstand high temperatures and high stresses and generally receive surface treatments to improve their physical properties (resistance to corrosion, impact, creep, etc.).
Heavy-duty road and racing wheel studs are ideal for intensive use and are stronger than stock hardware. They allow frequent mounting and dismounting of wheels using pneumatic or impact tools. It is recommended to replace them once a year in motorsport.
