Cybul S62B50 Engine Swap Kit Specifications

This 100% bolt-on Cybul engine swap kit allows you to install an S62B50 V8 in a BMW 3 Series E36 or Z3. It's a complete solution, suitable for both LHD and RHD vehicles, with no welding necessary. Designed for track use, this kit requires to modify the bonnet reinforcement if you want it to close properly, but a subframe lowering kit can be ordered (please contact us) if you wish to keep the stock bonnet. What's more, the Alpina-like position of the engine ensures correct weight distribution, while the TIG-welded oil pan supplied is the lightest on the market.

Every effort has been made to limit the addition of external parts, as demonstrated by the relocation of the pump, which involves only the installation of a new shaft (all the components dedicated to oil pumping stay stock). Moreover, the engine position can be steplessly adjusted from front to back to suit all setups. This kit comes with all the parts needed to install the V8 in the engine bay.

Important notes : Exhaust manifolds from the X5 (M62BXX engine) or custom-made are required. A smaller diameter intermediate steering shaft (available as an option) is required if you intend to fit X5 headers. Depending on the gearbox you choose, modifications to the driveshaft, gearbox mount and gear lever may be essential. Finally, this kit needs you to modify the stock oil pump.
