Motul Rubric HV46 Ambient Hydraulic Oil Specifications

Motul Rubric HV46 Ambient is a high performance, anti-wear mineral hydraulic fluid with a very high viscosity index, specially formulated for modern, high pressure, industrial hydraulic systems and mobile equipment. This oil is ideal, for example, for meeting the needs of lifts, jacks and certain workshop machines. It can be mixed with synthetic and mineral oils.

The HV quality grade stands for a multi-grade hydraulic oil: cooler when cold, for use in winter, and also very stable when hot, for higher ambient temperatures or intensive use. In other words, it's the best compromise for mechanisms. The same applies to viscosity index 46, suitable for all uses. What's more, this oil has a pumpability limit equivalent to an index 32, making it highly versatile in all conditions of use.

Motul Rubric HV 46 Ambient is the only hydraulic fluid available in 5L cans on the market. It is therefore ideal for small private workshops, racing teams, modest garages, etc. For example, a jack generally contains a few cL, while a lift requires between 5 and 15L, depending on the model.

This hydraulic fluid complies with the following standards: DIN 51 524 part 3 HVLP, ISO 11158 Category HV / 6743-4 Category HV, NF E 48 602 HV / E 48 603 HV.

Manufacturer approvals:

  • CASE POCLAIN P 110 32-03J
  • Parker Denison DENISON HF-0
  • VICKERS V 104 C / 35 VQ 25

A real pioneer in synthetic oil, Motul were the first company to use ester technology in their lubricants. Invented originally for aeronautical use, esters are organic based molecules, that allow the lubricant better resistance to shearing and far higher temperatures than normal. Motul are one of the leaders in technolological innovation when it comes to lubricants, their 300V oils are known around the world and a are one of the most frequently chosen oils in motorsport.
